The Fleurieu Folk Festival is complete Family Fun!
Set in the beautiful historic town of Willunga on the Fleurieu Peninsula, the
festival presents a weekend of music concerts and sessions, dance, workshops,
bush poets, children’s entertainment, stalls, in fact there’s something there
for the whole family – and it’s free! Bring an instrument and join in the
sessions or step on stage at a blackboard concert – kick up your heels at the
Bush Dance – browse around the craft stalls and the Saturday Farmers’ Market –
watch the kids have fun with face painting, maypole dancing, clowns, Punch &
Judy and the Young Talent Showcase – discover your own talent at one of the many
workshops - or just relax and enjoy the vast array of...

Folk Festival is
going to be bigger and better than ever! Nestled at the foot of the southern
Adelaide Hills, the historic town of Willunga is the perfect spot to hold a
festival. It already hosts the Tour Down Under, Almond Blossom Festival,
Willunga Walking Festival, Classic Adelaide Car Rally, Willunga Farmers and
Quarry Markets and now the Fleurieu Folk Festival. We’ll be cooperating with the
whole community to help put Willunga on the map as the Fleurieu Peninsula’s
“Festival Town”.
Fleurieu
Folk Festival started in 2003 as a relatively small event held in the grounds of
the Aldinga Hotel and utilising the adjacent hall and grounds and nearby
sporting clubrooms. The festival has now outgrown this venue – hence the move to
Willunga where the Festival will be held at the Recreation Ground utilising the
hall complex and marquees and stalls in the surrounds. There will also be events
programmed into venues throughout the town – pubs, cafes, village square, etc.
